Bet Types: Singles, Accumulators and Systems

The same selections can be placed as a single, as an accumulator or as a system bet, and each choice changes how much is at risk and how the bet is settled. This guide explains the three structures, what happens when one part of a bet is voided, and how to read the result in your account history. It applies to any platform with a sports section; whether the 255bet platform shows one for your account is something to check in the account itself.

The three structures

TypeHow it worksWhat decides the result
SingleOne selection, one stakeThat selection alone
AccumulatorSeveral selections in one bet, odds multipliedEvery leg must win
SystemAll combinations of a chosen size from a listEach combination is settled separately

Singles: the easiest to track

A single is settled on one outcome. Its record in the account is simple — one stake, one price, one result — which makes it the easiest bet to check and to dispute if something goes wrong. For anyone new to sports betting, singles are also the clearest way to understand how a market is settled before combining it with others.

Accumulators: multiplied odds, multiplied risk

In an accumulator the odds of each leg are multiplied, so the potential return grows quickly. So does the chance of losing: a single wrong leg loses the whole bet. When a leg is voided — a postponed match, a non-starter in a player market — rules usually remove it and recalculate the rest at lower odds. Read that part of the rules once, because it explains most “why is my return smaller” questions.

System bets: insurance that costs stakes

A system bet places every combination of a certain size from your selections. Three selections as doubles create three bets; more selections create many more. The total stake rises accordingly. The benefit is that one losing selection does not sink everything. The cost is that you pay for every combination, and a system with mostly losing selections still loses most of its stake.

Reading the bet slip before confirming

  1. Check the bet type selected on the slip: single, accumulator or system.
  2. Check the total stake, which for systems is the stake per combination times the number of combinations.
  3. Check each selection and its market name.
  4. Confirm, then note the bet ID shown in the history.

Bet structures and the account

Whatever the structure, the account rules are the same: the verified holder places the bet, limits apply to the total staked, and winnings are withdrawn after verification to a method in the holder's name. If bonus funds are involved, the offer terms may restrict bet types or set minimum odds; check them before using bonus money on an accumulator. The sport guides for football, tennis, basketball and cricket cover the settlement points of each sport.

FAQ

What happens to an accumulator if one match is voided?
Usually the voided leg is removed and the accumulator is recalculated with the remaining selections, so the total odds fall. A losing leg, by contrast, loses the whole bet. The betting rules confirm how voids are handled.
What is a system bet?
A system bet splits one selection list into several smaller combinations, for example all doubles from three selections. It costs more stakes than a single accumulator, but some combinations can win even if one selection loses.
Why can I not combine certain selections?
Platforms often block combining related outcomes, for instance two markets from the same match that depend on each other. The bet slip will refuse such combinations or offer a separate product for them.
Where do I see how my bet was settled?
In the bet history of your account. Each settled bet normally shows the result of every leg. If something looks wrong, contact support with the bet ID before the period for queries set in the rules expires.
